Saw this awesomeness pull into my local Menards. Guy was just running errands with it. I want an old firetruck. There so cheap on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace.

Oh man that’s just absolutely gorgeous. I can’t tell the brand from this picture but everything about the shot is fantastic. The fall colors in the background compliment it so well!

There were two for sale on CL locally last year, both in the same garage. Not sure how someone ends up with two different fire engines.
Someone here has one and has written it up a few times.

Looks like maybe a Ward LaFrance?

Looks to be correct based on the badge

There it is, I was so focused on trying to recognize that distinctive Deco grille that I completely missed the big fender badge spelling it right out

And I thought you saw the enormous badge and tried to pass it off as having recognized the big distinctive art deco grille.
Does the company have any relation to American LaFrance?

I assumed that was just some upfitter's nameplate and didn’t even look at it, which is kind of embarrassing. I believe the connection is they were both founded by the same guy after an Audi/Horch-style falling out

That would be Hooker. A neighbor of mine has one but he never drives it. A Ford COE based one so it is probably less exciting to drive than the older open air ones.

I got a chance to work on an old White brand firetruck from the late 30's awhile back, it was fas cinating to see the way everything was engineered to last as opposed to how cars are built for planned obsolesce n c e

They are cool old trucks.
